"If I only knew then what I know now." "I thought I was going through a rite of passage, but I didn't see where the passage was heading." "Don't give up." "Ask for help...you're worth it." These were some of the many sentiments expressed by young men and women from the Western MA Correctional Alcohol Center(a division of the Hampden County Sherrif's Department) who were features speakers at the May 7 community forum on youth/teen drug and alcohol abuse at West Springfield High School. The forum was a collaborative effort by the West Springfield Public Schools and the West Springfield Police. Click on the link to the notMYkid site for information on the organization.
