West Springfield Public Schools recently launched the 2015 Anti-Bullying Contest for students in grades K-12. This year's theme is "How can you encourage people to be more accepting of others?" The contest categories include: Graphic/Poster (grades K-12); Essay or Poem - not to exceed 250 words (grades K-12); and Multi-Media/Video - up to 60-seconds (grades 6-12). Please see THIS LINK for details and instructions! The deadline for entries is Friday, March 6.
Every student who submits an entry in the contest will have his or her name entered into a raffle, and one lucky student will win a cash prize! In addition, prizes will be awarded in the following grade levels: K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12, for entries with the most votes in the categories as outlined in the information sheet. Contest entries will be judged by the Anti-Bullying Task Force. Winning entries will be posted on the district website and social media (Facebook and Twitter), and contest winners will be recognized at a School Committee meeting. For more information, please email or call 263-3290.
